Ting, ting... a very faint ringing tone,
When I drew the phone,
Blurrily saw someone calling.
It was very early this morning.
When I drew the phone,
Blurrily saw someone calling.
It was very early this morning.
When I received the call,
My heart pauses to pulse for a while.
I breathed in after the call,
Our gramps left us as per God's file.
My heart pauses to pulse for a while.
I breathed in after the call,
Our gramps left us as per God's file.
Mourners were assembling,
In a room, weedy and bony face,
Shawl and clothes enwrapping,
Relatives and his family sitting without space.
In a room, weedy and bony face,
Shawl and clothes enwrapping,
Relatives and his family sitting without space.
A granddaughter was misty-eyed,
Sitting beside of her grandpa's head.
And second grandpa also in the inverse,
Sitting beside of her grandpa's head.
And second grandpa also in the inverse,
Giving her sermons with watery eyes.
The second grandpa, striving to hide his tears,
By preaching his near ones and dears.
Have to live as per God's time, blinking with misty-eyed,
With his hand caressing the grandpa's head.
Have to live as per God's time, blinking with misty-eyed,
With his hand caressing the grandpa's head.
